Metals and Plant Ltd was successful in winning the dismantling / mechanical strip out of the Framing Mirage production line within one of the world’s leading automotive OEMs. This work consisted of removing a large framing line / associated structural steel gantry and robot production line with end effectors. This work was carried out in a professional manner and well within the agreed timings for the contract which were agreed with Jaguar Land Rover.
The gantry had numerous large and intricate lifts which were more than 6 meters high and tight to the building’s roof. Then flanked on all sides with other live manned workstations, which could not be affected by our works and risk down time for the factory / other production lines. Due to the building being live and having extremely restricted / cramped areas, all works had to be planned to the highest standards, communicated to the other parties involved with the works on a daily basis as works progressed, then executed in military precision.
The project’s successful conclusion enhanced Metals & Plants’ standing as a dependable and knowledgeable supplier in the field. Safety was paramount to Metals and Plant throughout the entire project, with all team members undergoing rigorous training and adhering to strict safety protocols. This dedication to safety ensured that the project was completed without any incidents or injuries.
