Soft Strip
Metals and Plant has a wealth of experience in interior soft strip, strip out and enabling works, associated with the safe and environmentally sound preparation of buildings prior to commercial redevelopment or refurbishment. Soft stripping is a common term used when preparing a structure for demolition or reuse. Essentially, all fixtures and fittings, for example, doors, windows, bathrooms, kitchens, floor coverings etc are all removed from the building, leaving nothing but the steel or concrete frame.

The Environmental sustainability of waste is taken very seriously at Metals and Plant. In accordance with good environmental practice and in line with current legislation, construction waste is segregated and recycled, whilst hazardous materials are disposed of under controlled conditions. Site-specific Waste Management Plans (SWMP) are prepared, providing detailed documentation for disposal of construction waste on major projects.
