This extensive contract consisted of the full soft furnishing strip out, mechanical strip out and partial demolition of Nandos Meadowhall. This included the associated mezzanine floor/office area, kitchen, dining area, two large walk in freezers, dumbwaiter lift and extensive 16m x 4m shop front glazing. Due to a difference in floor levels additional work was required in removing between 90mm-100mm of floor screed across the shop floor area which equated to approximately 65 tonne of screed to be broken up and removed. The large structural marble staircase adjacent to Nandos was also removed as part of this contract to allow for a new concrete floor to be installed. The 1st floor toilet area behind TGI Fridays was then also stripped back to it’s shell, ready to be transformed as part of Meadowhall’s regeneration project. All work was completed out of hours (nights) to avoid any disruption to Meadowhall and shoppers, as always the contract was completed ahead of schedule and most of all safely to the delight of the principle contractor.
