This contract involved the mechanical strip out and soft furnishing strip out of the Vickers ward at the live Northern general Hospital. Great care had to be taken throughout our works as other live services supplying various important pieces of equipment around the hospital were logistically close to works being undertaken by Metals and Plant Ltd. The client other concerns were potential hazards to operatives, workers and patients alike in regards to obvious noise / dust issues. Another big concern was the interface with patients and hospital workers when transporting materials arising from strip out procedures through the hospital to their relevant skips, and then away from site to be legally disposed of. All of which were superbly managed throughout without incident, through to the contracts safe and environmentally friendly completion, much to the clients delight.
